The Role: IT Workstation Administrator
Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you have a knack for managing and optimizing IT systems to ensure seamless, high-performance operations? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! As our IT Workstation Administrator, you'll be the go-to person responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting the computer systems that power our organization and partner practices.
In this role, you will ensure that our workstations (both physical and virtual) are running at their peak, secure, and efficient. You'll be part of a supportive IT team that values collaboration and innovation—where your ideas are heard, and your contributions make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
As an IT Workstation Administrator, you will:
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software on workstations
- Regularly update and patch systems to keep them secure and up-to-date
- Monitor and optimize workstation performance, addressing issues proactively
- Provide end-user support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues efficiently
- Assist with setting up and configuring new workstations and peripherals
- Track inventory of workstations, hardware, and software licenses
- Collaborate with vendors for procurement and maintenance of IT resources
- Work closely with the IT team to ensure smooth integration of systems across our network
- Communicate with end-users to understand needs and offer tailored solutions
- Contribute to team meetings, offering insights for IT strategy and development
- Train users on best practices for utilizing workstations and software
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years of workstation management and support experience
- Solid experience with Windows 10, Windows 11, and MacOS
- Azure Active Directory/Microsoft 365 administration
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with attention to detail
- Networking knowledge, including LAN/vLAN/WAN technologies
- Experience with RMM solutions, MDM software, and Intune
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in IT support
